The entire dredging work of
82.5 million cubic metres of the Sethusamudram Ship
Channel has been awarded to M/s Dredging Corporation of India
Limited in two stages as detailed below:
Work-D of 13.50
million cubic metres in Palk Strait area
awarded to M/s DCI Ltd. on nomination basis on 01.06.2005
and work commenced by M/s DCI Ltd. on 02.07.2005.
Work A,B &C of 69
million cubic metres in Adams Bridge and Palk Strait/Palk
Bay awarded to M/s DCI Ltd. on nomination basis on
13.10.2006.
